We've tried Saltgrass and would recommend it also. We took our son to MacKenzie's on Parents weekend - it's off Tejan St as I remember - very good but a but pricier than Saltgrass. If you're into German food, Edelweiss is also good.

There are definate perks with wearing your uniform while traveling - my son was upgraded to 1st class a few times traveling back and forth to Denver this year.

I've stayed at the Academy Hotel and also recommend it. In addition, the Drury Inn is directly across Academy Blvd and is also very nice. We took our son out last year for I-Day and stayed there and were very pleased. Might want to check rates of both hotels and then make the call.

Not all early LOAs and those receiving Appt have the packet yet - son is still waiting for his (appt in mid Dec and son accepted first week of Jan). Not to fear, however, for all it will eventually show up (but the waiting is hard I know). Hang in there - it will show up:thumb:
