    Still in the game

I truly feel for all of you guys who got the TWE. Nevertheless, I am confident that all of you will succeed with your plan B's. Do you guys think that since I live in MD and haven't gotten a TWE, that is a good sign? Wouldn't they have already denied me if I didn't make the cut because...

    2018 CGA Waitlist

Ok. I have been over this before, but I am really confused. How many people are offered appointments off of the waitlist on average? My admissions counselor told me that 26 people were offered the waitlist last year and all 26 people were offered appointments eventually. However, the associate...

    Admission Board

It was a competitive nom. My local congressmen will be charged with the appointment. It was not based off of the NWL if that's what you mean.

    April Timeframe

Hello all, I have been reading on this forum about USNA notifications in March/April. It seems to me that most offers of appointment will go out in March. How many offers usually go out in April? I am asking this because I will be out of the country from April 5-14. If I get the notification...

    Admission Board

It was posted on the DODMERB status checker website. It was also posted on my USMA portal several weeks later. Make sure that you are in contact with your admissions officer about your waiver. Ask him/her when they submitted it to the waiver authority. They could give you a better idea about the...

    USMA Appointment vs. NROTC

Hello everyone, I have recently received a full NROTC scholarship to VMI and an appointment to USMA. I have always envisioned myself in the US Navy, but this offer to WP is making me reconsider. First of all, it seems that the academics at WP may be broader and more established than that of...

    Admission Board

Yes, getting a waiver is a sign that they think that you will be worth the risk of the disqualified condition as a cadet and a future US Army officer. Also, for what its worth, my Admissions officer told me that a wave of offers were mailed out last Thursday. I received my BFE today.

    Citadel Vs. VMI

Thank you Melitzank. And no, I was not asking a stupid question. That was a completely logical question about military SMC's. I simply am gathering as much information as I can to make an informed decision. Is that not the purpose of this forum?

    Citadel Vs. VMI

Why is the acceptance rate at The Citadel 77% and the acceptance rate at VMI 44%. Is VMI just a more selective school? It seems to me that this suggests that VMI is the academically stronger school (with SAT's, GPA, class rank). Does anybody have any insight?

    USNA Selection

My BGO told me that I was 3'Q. How would he know this? He also told me that I am part of the "2000". I am guessing this means I have a 75% chance?

    USNA Selection

Hello all, I have a 3'Q + Nom + Medical waiver + CVW invite. According to the following paragraph from the USNA website, does this mean (statistically) that I have a 75% chance at gaining an appointment to USNA? That is what my BGO has told me. However, it seems that there is confusion as to...
