And the email TWE came today... a crushing blow. Plan B is an amazing opportunity for him - 4 yr AROTC at a great school - but this morning this one still stings. Older brother's graduation next month from USMA will be tinged by some sadness. But, he knows his weaknesses and will forge ahead...

Also, it helps to know that not every family can make all the events and it's useful to know what the "big ones" are. If you're on this forum, or the West Point Moms Facebook page, it will look like everyone is there for every football game, March Back, Projects Day, etc. But they really aren't...

A-Day. No question. R-Day is exciting, but sad. If you need to choose, say your good-byes, put them on a plane and say, "See you on A-Day!" A-Day is amazing and happy!

You actually might check that information out on the ROTC forum. Many people will not have heard about their SA appointments before the deadline for accepting an ROTC scholarship. The scholarship should not actually be binding until you are contracted and ROTC knows that there is a high overlap...

The letter from DODMERB isn't clear if there is paperwork that we need to take to the remedial appointment. Can anyone comment? The provider is asking for a "physician's order" and I'm assuming that like the original physical, there must be a form for them to fill out?
