    NAPS Indoc

We have a facebook group and that question has been answered by a returnee NAPster. Basically you have the initial PRT and then we may really run 6/7 times after that.

Can I get a tattoo once at the academy?

"Midshipmen are prohibited from acquiring body alterations while a member of the Brigade of Midshipmen or while a member of the Naval Academy Preparatory School." I believe it has something to do with keeping good order and discipline, etc. They essentially own your skin during your time there...

Naval Academy Prep School (NAPS) Transportation

I contacted a current NAPster and they confirmed that you can have a motorcycle while at NAPS. The only caveats are of course the weather and the fact that you need to take the required motorcycle safety course(s) in order to be in regulation. Thanks for all the help Sent using the Service...

Has anyone been offered NAPS yet?

I sent in my acceptance to NAPS about a week ago. NoodlersDad, I know cannotbedisplayed got his appointment around the same time as I did, sometime in February. Sent using the Service Academy Forums® mobile app

Naval Academy Prep School (NAPS) Transportation

I have already attempted to call administration at NAPS, but the only option was to leave a voicemail. I'm not sure how I would find the number to Quarterdeck. Sent using the Service Academy Forums® mobile app

    Prep Schools and External/Private Scholarships

I found a post from about a year ago of someone who attended NAPS. Although I am not 100% positive myself, I am sure you can place some validity on his statement.

Naval Academy Prep School (NAPS) Transportation

Thanks usna051 and trini1066. I just need to know because I plan on purchasing a motorcycle this summer, and it would be pointless to purchase one now if I can't ride it at least during my time at NAPS.

Naval Academy Prep School (NAPS) Transportation

My question was not pertaining to the Naval Academy itself rather it was for the Naval Academy Prep school. Since we would not be midshipmen and are technically in the reserves, I'm assuming that the rules would be slightly different.

Naval Academy Prep School (NAPS) Transportation

It is my understanding that you can have a POV at NAPS, but can that vehicle be something other than a car, say a motorcycle?

One box is titled "Offered Appointment" with different pdf files along with the link to accept or decline your appointment. The other box is titled "Admit Kit" with links to...

Has anyone been offered NAPS yet?

I was offered to NAPS around the same time as CannotBeDisplayed. I suspect it has something to do with GPA or the level of classes that I took. I only took 3 AP classes throughout my high school career. Other than that standardized test scores seem to be about average, and athletics/ECs are most...

    USNAPS?

According to previous posts, I believe that NAPS starts in late July around the 20th.

    Just curious....

I was under the impression that even with my principal nomination, I would have to apply for nominations again after completion of prep school.

2 weeks to decide - NAPS

No I am not being recruited for a sport although I did plan to walk-on for football or play sprint football first year then walk-on second year. My test scores are about average I suppose - 690 verbal and 620 math. Although I believe I passed the CFA I did not do too well, so that might be a...

2 weeks to decide - NAPS

I received a letter in the mail from the Naval Academy admissions board informing me that I have been selected to attend the Naval Academy prep school. I did get the feel that I might be offered admission to prep school possibly due to the fact that I am a year younger than all of my senior...
