The wait is over. The mailbox was left unchecked until 9:30 pm and the TWE was waiting at the bottom. DS is taking OK - his first response was "Beat Navy"! Proud as hell of my new Cadet and can't wait until he goes OFF INTO THE WILD BLUE YONDER!

That's good news/bad news RedDragon - good to hear he has the Service Academy attitude! What CBT Squadron is he in? Maybe he and my DS will get to know each other. I know what you mean about the stressed out parent comment! ;>)

So did my DS - new password does not open. Nothing in the mail today. Anyone else still in limbo with USNA?

DS can no longer access USNA porthole. Don't know if this means anything but with only two weeks until I Day - guess we'll know something soon. USNA reports July 1st - USAFA reports June 26th - what if there is a last minute offer from USNA and he is already gone?

There can't be many left on the list. It is very late in the game - but there is always possibility! Here is to hoping everyone get to realize their dreams! Good luck to all remaining.

DS is still waiting to hear final decision from USNA as he was placed on the wait list in April. He has committed to USAFA but would still entertain USNA as that has always been his dream. Wondering if there is anyone else still on the wait list and if anyone has been appointed from the wait list.

We went to USAF Museum today to meet with ALO and complete some paperwork. Photo opps and walking the museum was fun. DS took brother "up" in a simulator - 11 kills and not shot down then their time was up. Still nothing from USNA - but suspect he'll hear something soon. June 26th will be here...

My DS received his waitlist letter and USNA stated 1300 had received appointments and class size would be 1175.

I just wanted to start this thread to give any waitlisters an opportunity to report on any appointments. Good luck to all! My DS has accepted to USAFA and declined USMA but his first love has always been USNA. So we sit with our fingers crossed!

Thanks for the clarification! Yes - when I think BFE - I think certificate. Something to display at graduation and such. I am glad he will still get this.

Disappointed that there is no certificate to be displayed from USAFA. DS received a certificate in a folder from USMA. This is kind of a big deal and it would be nice to see. Sounds like USNA is doing the BFE like USMA - wish AF could follow the example.

DS has appointment as reported by MOC and portal but has no received the BFE yet. Does anyone know when these are or will be sent out? He has accepted the appointment through email, but that is the only way he has received any communication. It would be great to see the hard evidence! LOL

Yes - we also attended several Dayton Air Shows and the USAF Museum. My son lettered 2 years in football and baseball. He is thinking about trying to walk on to the baseball team. He got word from MOC on Thursday that USMA will offer and got BFE Saturday. He is waitlisted with USNA - so we still...
