How hard is getting AD MI Officer?

Keep in mind also that most that branch MI are sent to Infantry first, from what I understand most do not go directly to MI to start with. So don't assume that you won't be around combat arms by branching MI.

    ROTC V. Active Duty

Morale. There is a difference between a battalion that is into getting it right and one full of individuals. I would argue that better leaders would come from the squared away battalion.

    Retaking the physical test??

Unfortunately I don't think you can update the PT score.

    3 Year Changed to a 4 Year

Irish, I can't speak to the 4 year offer coming after the third board, but my ds received a. 5 year upgrade once on campus. It was mostly from a great attitude and rocking the PT test. If you come in committed and serious about a career as an officer you have a good shot at receiving an...

    The waiting is killing us

Lol this is the most true statement ever written on this board. Ds was a third board winner but from Nov to April I must have checked that portal thousands of times. It was my homepage in my browser for a while. Luckily thats over and my blood pressure is nice again. Good luck!

    PFA Scholarship?

I believe they have to be done in the order given on the scorecard. You should get someone at your school to administer the test, normally the JROTC instructor or a Gym teacher. They should have done this before. Good Luck! Sent from my BLN-L24 using Service Academy Forums[emoji768] mobile app

AFROTC, ROTC, NROTC AND Marine option scholarship chances?

Great! Everyone thinks they have time, but lemme tell ya that summer in between junior and senior year goes really fast, you want your perfect packet before any deadlines are near, because once submitted most of the info is locked in. Sounds like your on the right track, good luck! Even if you...

AFROTC, ROTC, NROTC AND Marine option scholarship chances?

Bodybuilding is great for discipline just go easy on the Speedos. I'm really serious about the SAT though take it as many times as you can. You don't want to leave this to just one test. Your stats show leadership and a variety so I wouldn't worry about the lack of varsity sports too much...

AFROTC, ROTC, NROTC AND Marine option scholarship chances?

Most of this looks good. How's your PT? Start taking the SAT I can't believe you haven't taken it yet. That's really all I have. DS's sheet looked like your and he's done fine with a 3.5 year. Branching active with MP.

    Scholarship

Ok to clarify a little. While you may be able to finish a 4 year in 3, you cannot do this under ROTC scholarship. 4 years is the length for the program. If you finish early I believe you may be in trouble as you need 4 years of MS. That's the reason I suggested that if it's "really" what you...

    Scholarship

Ok I will try to answer this as best as I can. There is a way to do this. AROTC will not pay for anything other than the original bachelors. What you have to do is simultaneously get the extra classes to satisfy your master's mixed in with your bachelors. It is important that you leave at least...

My ds knew he was active a month before branches dropped. Not sure if that's the case everywhere.

    Branching dates

Anyone have an idea on when branching should hit? Also what is the process when branching drops, as far as when the soldier with get a slot? Is that something they learn much later after branch drops? Thanks!

AROTC: University of South Florida vs. University of Tampa

Well, ultimately it's your choice. I think everyone here has given you good ideas for making your determination. I would suggest a visit to each during the day to get a feel for them.

AROTC: University of South Florida vs. University of Tampa

Jlur, Our DS is currently an MS3 at UT. He absolutely loves the business school there. What is your intended major? The main reason our DS chose UT was the small class sizes. I don't know of many classes at USF that are small. DS was awarded a 3 year scholarship, however went on to crush PT...

    Military IDs

Not sure how AFROTC does it but, my ds was a 3.5 year winner and didn't get his id until his second year a half year after he contracted. Mostly because Cadre had to set up appointments on post for processing. So my best guess is nothing happens until contracting is done, then clearance...

Just my two cents here, but I believe contacts should be fine for everything but NBC activities and possibly some water drills.

    CULP 2016 Missions

Is there a specific website or Facebook group for the separate CULP missions? My ds is on the Estonia CULP mission with some really cool sports competitions coming up, and I would like to see some pics of those.
