Is Nike SFB boots same sizing as tennis shoe?

I've used the Nike SFB boots before and have generally been fine using the same size as my normal shoes - certainly always best to have an opportunity to try on and potentially exchange, but I have not needed to.

    Inflamed Ribs

Rest assured that USAFA certainly takes good care of the basics medically and physically. Basics have the opportunity to go to the clinic every morning, and there are Cadet Emergency Medical personnel on-call 24/7 to respond to acute incidents as needed. The clinic does get busy, particularly...

    Varsity vs. Commitment in Sports

Commitment will of course look better than the other option, which would be no commitment. As for making varsity or not, all you can really control about that is doing your best and enjoying what you do. So if I were you, I would focus on having fun and doing the best that you can do, and let...

    Types of Leadership

To sort of answer this from a different perspective, once you are at the Academy, no one really cares what you did in high school. I know what some of my extremely close friends did, just from getting to know them, but most people just care about how you are at the Academy itself. If you work...

    Visiting My Cadet

Depending on the specific weekend will change some things. If it is a training weekend, you will likely be limited to a few hours on Friday/Saturday, and most of Sunday. If it is a free weekend, well Friday night until Sunday night. Additionally, since he will be a 4-deg, there is a possibility...

    Thoughts for 2021

With less than a week until I-Day, I wanted to share some thoughts to hopefully put your minds at ease a little. First off, relax. Enjoy these days with your family/friends and don't stress too much about BCT or the Academy in general. I-Day will come at the same time whether you stress or not...

Definitely agree with what Hoodlum said. If you can take care of blisters and such yourself that will probably be more convenient for you. There are cadets that go around to take care of that, but there are only so many of them, and there are obviously a lot of basics that need help with...

No one is going to check or worry about the specifics of undergarments, I would just avoid neon or anything that would look out of place in your drawer. Anecdote, they told us to purchase whit compression shorts, yet when we arrived they issued us black compression shorts, so it really doesn't...

    Current Cadet Answers

Hello everyone! It has been awhile since I've been active on here, but with I-Day for 2021 coming up, I wanted to offer an opportunity for incoming cadets to ask any questions they would like-I am more than happy to help where I can, and hopefully some other current cadets are around and can...

If you would like to have a monitor, you will have to purchase one yourself-they are not issued. You should get a docking station, but will have to provide a monitor/cords if you want.

The LEAD program is for enlisted airmen who want to attend the academy. In essence, a slightly different application process, being that the applicant is already in the Air Force.

During the Ac year, absolutely (there are rules about how it is worn), but you can certainly have it. During BCT, I am not sure, I would defer to someone working basic for guidance on that.

The cool thing about USAFA is instructor availability. I know of instructors that will come in on weekends to help students, and also give out their personal cell numbers in order to help cadets. Definitely making use of available resources is something I wish I had done more.

As many people will likely tell you, the only thing that is for certain is that if you don't apply, you won't get in. Beyond that, anything is just speculation. I know people without varsity sports who got in (myself), and people who had low gpas/scores and got in. Your ACT looks good, so that...

All 4*s take Airmanship 250, which is Intro to Soaring. It consists of five flights for each student, and is a pass/fail airmanship class. Not too much extra work. You will just have to go down to the airfield a few times, which can cause you to have to get up earlier, or get back to the hill...

Jump is an airmanship program that takes place after your four-degree year in which cadets are given the opportunity to earn their jump wings by completing five solo free-fall jumps at USAFA. In essence you request it and are then placed into it based on numbers and how you did over the past...
