Off Topic- think of days gone by

Another place and time eh? As I move through my fifties, my memories of my childhood come back when least expected. 1968-Driving through pre-I95 Delaware at 4am for a day of fishing. Jim Reeves playing on the radio, my Dad humming along, "He'll have to go", or Leroy VanDyke, "Walk on bye"...

    ROTC vs PLC

I am certain that there are many here to correct any mistakes to the following comments, so feel free. Also as a father of a Marine option freshman. It is my understanding that both are going to end up where their effort and class placement takes them. NROTC group will probalby know each...

    Tattoos??

Good points for an argument against sleeve tattoos. I will continue to stress the perception issue with any tattoos, shoulder, bicep, ect. Hard to argue this one, with Grandpop having one since North Africa!

    Tattoos??

Thank you for the reply. This has been an ongoing debate with my son. Doing some internet research, I came up with this argument against the tattoo idea. "During the interview and PFT process, your body markings or lack of are documented. This is how you are expected to report on first day...

    Red Wings vs. Penguins

WOW! Nobody gives a snowballs chance for Pitt. Does not speak well for ratings. All 24 people in Pittsburgh and 12 in Detroit can watch this one. #6 on the top ten reasons we hate Detroit. The "Hockeytown" name. If Detroit is such a great hockey town, why are there empty seats in the arena...

    Red Wings vs. Penguins

Can I watch a series while my stomach cramps up? These are the two teams I most likely did NOT want to see. Any city that has to tell you its Hockeytown is not. And any true Philly guy is not now or ever going to root for Pittsburgh! Teams to root for that need a cup; Philadelphia...

    Memorial Day These Words

God bless you Sarah wherever you are. We honor you and all that have gone before you A few nights ago, I walked a quiet mile with hundreds of other service members. It was a clear night in Bagram, Afghanistan. Although it was late, the birds were singing, perhaps roused by the unusual...
