During my DD interview for AROTC 2 years ago, he wanted us in his office also and asked us questions. Afterwards we asked why and he stated he wanted to see if were supportive of her choice to enter the Army. He was a West Point Grad and MI Officer.
During my DD's first FTX, last fall, she injured her knee. Injuries that occur during a ROTC activity are covered under Federal Workman's Comp. We had a hassle on getting reimbursed after we ended up paying the hospital bills ourselves after she was receiving notices from collection agencies...
Here is the outcome for my daughter's knee injury during an FTX. Since this is classified as a Federal Workman's comp case my insurance won't pay for anything and the workman's comp has barely paid either. My DD was getting payment notices that added up to $1500 and threats of bill collectors...
My DD has been notified a couple of weeks ago that she is accepted by Project GO to attend the California State University for Arabic. She is in the process of booking her flight to there now, her major is Middle Eastern studies at the University of Toledo and a MS1.

I do not know when they started using them and it is not every facility. We have one within a half a mile of our home but she was required to go to one 40 miles away. It must be only certain ones are contracted.
The Concentra clinic my daughter went to for her physical was the same way. We had no issues, like the previous poster said go ahead input into DODMETS your expected date and time.
