    Weight of Service Academy Degree

Thank you sir! I enjoyed your post as well. "I would reinforce my commitment to doing missions saving lives by taking a job in AF that entails missions saving lives. Maybe Pararescue, Medical related missions. You want relevance so SAVING lives is what you want to do. Not for status or wealth."...

    Weight of Service Academy Degree

Thank you. I really appreciate that...really do. I try my best to be honest here, because not many new-ish grads like to lurk around here. Lot of my classmates are where I am at, lost, not sure what they want to do in the future. So I would hope that those aspiring to become part of the...

    Weight of Service Academy Degree

Thank you for the reply. I appreciate your honesty. Definitely will have a lot of factors to think about right now. Including how long I want to stay in the AF, Military medical programs, etc...definitely a lot of factors that will ultimately give me a good future to go into PA/Med school...

    Weight of Service Academy Degree

Agreed on the limit, which is why I'm still very discouraged about that stuff. But again, I still need to take a good chunk of PA prereq classes plus the GRE. And no, I have none, still getting use to AD life to be honest. And realistically, I didn't know what I wanted to do while I was at...

    Weight of Service Academy Degree

Yep, I still have about 3-4 years left for commitment. But considering leaving after that 5 years (as of right now at least). Just thinking about future commitments right now...like i said, I'll still need to take a few more courses (orgo, human anatomy etc.) and that may take a year or two to...

    Weight of Service Academy Degree

It's been a hot minute (and I mean 4 years/sophomore year @ USAFA) since I've last posted on this forum. I need some sort of hope and push right now... My grades were not the best at the Academy...and definitely looking back, I could have done much much better. It wasn't until recently that I...

    Advice for High School

USAFA is a Div1 school! Are you trying to get recruited? If you do become an IC, be prepared for a very busy day-to-day schedule...especially track and field.

USAFA 4th Class Cadet Willing to Answer Questions

^i agree. I graduated last May and keep telling all the newcomers to take it meal by meal. Every person, squadron, class year has different experiences...Some harder some not so hard. Basic is basic. It's what you make out of it.

Why do people attend the Academy?

OP, I hate to be back on here (not really). But I was a very very average high school student and even cadet...the only thing I knew how to do and did well was my sport (except the numerous injuries). I definitely felt intimidated by those that got an appointment because of their...

Why do people attend the Academy?

I am about 8 days late on this post...but it's been a while since I've interacted on this site (I was a freshman at that time asking the same questions...). I graduated just last May, Class of 2017. As a new 2nd LT, I can say...truly and honestly, that the Academy prepared me for a very well...

Female cadet open for questions about life at the academy (or how it is so far)

I'm sure they'll allow it. I just wore the issued socks and really had no problem when it came to blisters, and I was easily able to adjust to the boots. Sent using the Service Academy Forums® mobile app

Female cadet open for questions about life at the academy (or how it is so far)

Hey, So I would bring that just in case, I know a lot (and when I mean a lot I mean a ton of us) got blisters because of the shoes they issued us. I would buy something that can try to avoid blisters. Also as for shoes, if you need some type of heel or sole support, get one! The shoes are a...

Female cadet open for questions about life at the academy (or how it is so far)

Congrats to the 2018ers for getting accepted and only having a few more days at home till bct starts! If anyone (not just girls) has questions about BCT (I'm a 2017er), academic year, recognition, summer programs etc feel free to ask. Sent using the Service Academy Forums® mobile app

    **A thread for the Girls**

USAFA 2017 girl here, As for shaving and showers, there is barely any time for that. You'll be tired, worn down, and will be uptight most of the time during BCT. What would best as for shampoo and conditioner, get a two in one because you'll probably only have a max of 3 minutes to shower (if...
