It should trigger a remedial or waiver review. If a remedial is required, normally you just provide the prognosis and in some case they may require a Spirometry. It's not over until it's over.

If I can add one piece of advice, once the application is complete and "board ready" make sure the student is in contact with the ROO(s) of the desired schools. Some times we are given the opportunity to reach into the board ready applicant pool and offer a JROTC 3 Year Advance Designee...
