I know they check for color blindness again but will they retest your vision with the glasses they give you to see if you are correctable to 20/20? I'm probably just anxious but if they see you aren't correctable to 20/20...

Yeah that sounds great. From your experience is there anything you saw in those who succeeded versus those who didn't? I can do a lot with my bodyweight in terms of running pushups and pullups but I've always been kind of tall and lanky :p

So I cant tell you specifics about each academy as I am only informed on USNA, but what I can tell you as a maryland resident is that USNA by far has the best location. Really beautiful place with lots to do, though the plebes wont really have a chance to experience it for a while haha. However...

Another way of looking at it is if you excel physically and mentally, yes you may be singled out more, but you will also be ranked a lot higher in your company by your detailers and they will have a better light of you compared to someone who never improved.

At least for my high school if a situation arises the school will have an individual graduation for you. Ask your school administration I'm sure they'll do the same for you given your circumstances

Don't worry about the glasses, usually the fact that you go to USAFA is a strong enough deterrent itself. Sorry I had to (Go Navy). But from what I've heard BCGs are usually only strictly worn during summer and more casually after that

I can't talk from a parent perspective but from that as a child's I would prefer it if both my parents came together to see what I had done as a plebe and be able to provide some much needed family time. I definitely think you should be at all plebe events/hanging out with your plebe together...
