I believe once the info is entered, an email is sent to the teacher with the instructions for the recommendation/evaluation. If you send it now, you risk the email getting lost or forgotten in the coming months. October is still early in the process so waiting might be a safer plan.

Does the academy provide any organizational aids, like an assignment notebook, or do I bring my own? I normally use a notebook or my phone to keep track of my work.

I believe most nominations will not open up until after June, and definitely won't have deadlines as early as June. Take the tests! Take them again even! You have time. Good luck!
