    Contracted army cadet transfer schools?

Are @clarksonarmy and @BAMA ROTC talking about the same thing, then? BAMA says there is a deadline, Clarkson says there is none. And I will certainly make sure to discuss this with by Bn. as soon as I can; in the meantime your answers have been very helpful.

    Contracted army cadet transfer schools?

I am already contracted on a national scholarship and finishing my first year in college. The losing and gaining battalions are one, and the PMS is OK with it. Does anyone know how long it normally takes for it to be approved by Cadet Command, or when the deadline is specifically?

    Managing ROTC and college

As an Army ROTC cadet who just finished freshman year at a pretty tough school, I have to say I didn't have much free time. In fact, I had to drop a fraternity that I was pledging because it just wasn't working. But I was able to adjust fairly well during first semester and by spring was doing...

    Contracted army cadet transfer schools?

@BAMA ROTC When is the deadline? I tried to contact my Bn.'s scholarship coordinator today, but he was out of the office! Really don't want to miss it.

    Contracted army cadet transfer schools?

Has anyone here been an army national-scholarship winner and contracted cadet who transferred schools? How did the process go for you?

    Attending RMA Sandhurst

But according to the link article above, it is possible to attend Sandhurst as a commissioning source. Any ideas on how?

    Attending RMA Sandhurst

Greetings, I know that USMA has a summer exchange program with RMA Sandhurst, but does anybody know of how a U.S. Army cadet could go to Sandhurst for his commission, without doing ROTC or attending a service academy? I know that it is possible, but I don't know how. Please forgive me for...

URGENT: My son joining the army

What part am I not understanding? And respectfully, I did not enquire about what the safest branch in the safest service is, but thank you.

URGENT: My son joining the army

No need for ad hominem attacks. I'm sure this man works hard for his living, and the job he holds is not to be the subject of our criticism.

URGENT: My son joining the army

Could we stop worrying about whether Army.Dad is a troll and instead discuss his concerns? Regardless of whether he is a troll (and I don't think he is), as kinnem said, these issues are very real.

URGENT: My son joining the army

Understood and appreciated. And yes, I know what I want to do in the Army, and no, it's not exercitus gratis exercitus for me. If I were to do it with the scholarship, I would do it without scholarship. In fact, if I go to a school with only NROTC I would more than happily pay for tuition...

URGENT: My son joining the army

Army.Dad, you are not alone in your concerns, certainly. I can tell you that as an applicant myself and as the son of someone who is also apprehensive. I'm still trying to weigh the risks. A question for others: how much safer is Air Force than Army, or, say, Army MI over Army infantry?

Wildcatmom, may I ask what Bolc dates your son got? I'm curious to see how far after graduation they are.

Is it just as competitive for USAR? That was very helpful, btw.

    FY15 Army Accessions Board Results

Could someone please help me understand what my performance would need to be in order to branch into MI, without a detail, in the Army Reserve?

    Army Reserve

Say I were to commission as an Army Reserve MI officer. What could I expect in terms of (a) locations where I could serve as a home base, (b) availability to attend graduate school, and (c) my deployment schedule. Is it correct that one would be deployed only after five years?

    ROTC "Criminals"

As someone who hopes to complete ROTC at an Ivy, it is important to note that this sentiment, however disgraceful, is not wholly representative of the sense I've perceived. Further, while there is a very strong argument to indict Sec. Kissinger as a war criminal, I don't think the same spirit...
