Who is allowed to come to R-day (immediate family only or is extended family allowed)and are there activities for the families on that day?

Has anyone ever asked their respective admissions counselor if their packet has been reviewed already? DS completed his packet in late Aug early Sept and still hasn't heard anything. My point is if the counselor can answer that it has been reviewed, then that could be a pretty good indicator...
