Haha I felt the same way when I found out. Actually put my hand in between the real and fake tips on a friend's brother's IS-F because I couldn't believe it, and there's a good 3-4" of gap between the exhaust and the chrome tips. Rocky Mountains.....but I never realized how steep the foothills around the academy were until I rode them. There are plenty of hills on base (Pine Drive in particular is a good climb) and many more if you ride north towards Monument or Palmer Lake
