This has happened to my son. He has been in the media several times (in regards) to the USNA. Unfortunately most people do not understand the process and just assume that he is going to the Naval Academy. We are still waiting with our fingers crossed.

Is there any advantage on having the plebe do their banking with a local (Annapolis/NavyFederal) bank? Where seems to be the preferred location to keep their money?

Was never trying to "game the system" was asking an honest question. I gather what I am learning it would be best to stick with USNA as #1 and USMA as #2.

My DS would be more than thrilled to attend USMA but without a doubt USNA is his 1st choice.

My DS has applied to both USNA and West Point. USNA is his (its not even close) preferred school of choice. My question is...after receiving Nomination for USNA should he reorder his service academy preference order for upcoming Senator interview? Would it be better to have "2" Noms for USNA...

I have not posted on here often but I do read the forum regularly. As I was thinking last night about DS and if he would be fortunate enough to receive an appointment to USNA, I came up with couple ?'s that I never asked during our visits (4 times) to USNA. Hopefully someone on here can help...

No we haven't but just making the assumption since some have almost a month ago and with consideration that he had already attended camp last summer.

Well I'm guessing he will not be fortunate enough to attend 2 years in a row. We knew this was a possibility but he loves the USNA and was hoping he would be attending again this summer. Good Luck to all!
