You are notified of Waitlist as you are of anything else, portal change notification. Then when you check your portal, it will say Waitlist in place of "Complete Pending Review"

It's happened several times to candidates on this forum, which is a relatively small portion of candidates. So my guess is this is a systemic problem for the NROTC program

This sounds very familiar to last years experience or DS. He was waitlisted at USNA and "lost in the shuffle" for NROTC. Hearing that this has happened to several on this forum, there are probably many other cases like this out there. I agree with ktnatalk that something should be done so folks...

Should be noted that as of Mar 1, 2016, the number was only 70 at that point. Total was 128 in June 2016...

There's a difference between NWL and "waitlist" actually. NWL works something like you've described. The Waitlist is developed after they have offered appointments and are waiting to see if more kids decline. If they drop below a certain number, they start pulling from the waitlist.

Yes, missing Murf for sure! We're nearly double, and its hard to say but I suspect many more participants on the forum. USNA has been pretty steady in how they handle the process for many years. Hard to imagine a major change that will double the amount of appointments to date.

There is a TN-03 on the list, LOA also. But that's the only TN appointment on there...

After looking through the 2021 appointment thread, there actually are three reported. But again, 3 on here is how many total given? The numbers are probably somewhere between 15-20% of the actual total, but who knows. If you haven't heard negatively, you are still in the game. That's about all...

It was tough 25 yrs ago, particularly 2nd class year. I know there has been much change since then, but in general (without several validation courses) the first two years are pretty similar for all mids. The course load is tough 2nd class year, but what adds to the rigor is leadership...

Anyone on here heard anything yet? Looks like the appointment list is growing much faster than last year or there are many more people on the forum this year. We are still hanging in there with Nom and assuming still 3Q'ed since we were waitlisted last year like most of you. The waiting isn't...
