    Should I retake the AFOQT?

As someone who took it 3 times, I’d advise you to not retake. I was like you passed the first time was advised I could retake it in order to improve my rated scores. Unfortunately that didn’t happen, the second time I bombed that test. If it wasn’t for the waiver I would have never commissioned...

    Should I retake the AFOQT?

Globemast3r is right. Unless you’re trying to go rated retaking the AFOQT is pointless and too dangerous. What matters most in non rated selection usually is commanders ranking and honestly the needs of the Air Force at the time. So I would advise you not to retake it but improve you’re...

    AFROTC 2018 Rated Boards

That’s is awesome man! I was just talking from experience because I retook it a 2nd time and I didn’t even pass. I was super blessed to be given the last waiver ever to take it a 3rd time. And I killed it like I should’ve the second time. Pilot went from 26 to 52, CSO 10 to 71, ABM 14 to 60...

    AFROTC 2018 Rated Boards

Yes I know I stated you are able to retake it again. I would get flying hours then retake it, that’s the better way to raise your score. My roommate (Pilot Trainee) who is headed to Vance in 2 weeks got 21 hours the summer before our boards raised his PCSM 32 points (55) after he retook the...

    AFROTC 2018 Rated Boards

No problem, I was in your shoes so I have no problem giving out the information. So yes you will be able to retake the TBAS as well as flying hours. The supplemental boards are also a way to be bumped up so if you do receive a slot and you do not want it you are able to re-compete for other...

    AFROTC 2018 Rated Boards

In the case you do not get selected you would go up for the supplemental boards which we held at the end of Sept. But just because you put low for everything doesn’t mean you won’t be selected. But if that is the case the supplemental boards are your best chance. You are able to change your...

    AFROTC 2018 Rated Boards

No the people you are referring to are in a different FY, the people who are looking to be upgraded are in FY18. This upcoming board is for FY19 those commissioning before 30 Sep 19. Only AS300s/400s who are graduating in that FY will be competing for this upcoming board. Those who already have...

Freshly commissioned Lt here just wondering if anyone heard anything on the GBR results? Heard it was supposed to come out sometime soon. I’ve only been home 2 weeks and I’m already bored out of my mind. So I would like to know sooner rather than later hahah.

    Non-Rated to Rated before Commissioning

From my experience you’re still in the running. Had a buddy picked up for ABM then later was given the chance to change to CSO. Just has to be before you commission. Also know a guy who got RPA then bumped up to Pilot later as well. Your name stays in the the running until commissioning.

    Non-Rated to Rated before Commissioning

I was wondering has anyone ever know of anyone who received a rated slot before commissioning? Long story short, I retook the AFOQT to improved my pilot score, ended up failing. Approved waiver to retake for 3rd final time, destroy every category and pass. HQ tell my commander to put me back up...

    New Weight Standard AFROTC

Sorry I meant 18%. And yes for commissioning and contracting. I’m commissioning in 37 days and I have to lose a few pounds in order to be under 18% because you do not want to chance anything like this. You do not need to be under 174 at all, as long as when the measure your neck and above the...

    Nonrated AFSC drop date?

That’s what my commander said. But who knows at this point lol. I would just like to know soon because I commission in January lol and if my EAD is soon after I don’t want to be screwed lol

    Nonrated AFSC drop date?

Something is fishy. We were told originally today then yesterday told the 31st. Which doesn’t make sense because base preferences are only available Oct 20-31st. So they are either all pulling our legs or they all really don’t know lol

    2017 AFROTC Rated Selection Thread

When you initially get your rated preferences sheet it says "do you volunteer for ENJJPT" you either check yes or no. Then once you are selected for pilot and pass your Flight physical you are again re-boarded amongst other cadet pilots who selected yes they volunteer for ENJJPT and the results...
