DS received a letter today that he met selection criteria, but is on hold and wait listed for california and national lists. He has a nomination, cfa, and dodmerb so we are crossing our fingers but fear we are in for a long wait....:)
My son has his interview with his moc next month and his first choice is the usmma and usna second. He also applied to the uscga. He is interested in civilian service perhaps on a non military research vessel. Are such options available if he were to attend the usna?

My son is applying to the USCGA and is considering mechanical engineering. At other colleges this is an impacted and competative major. For admissions does it matter which major he selects? Specifically would his chances for admission be greater if he selected a different major?
