NROTC opens yesterday for HS Juniors, need help with question!

Once she starts her NROTC application online she will be contacted by her regional NROTC Coordinator. He will be in charge of submitting the application to the selection board. I'm sure you will receive more information from him in an email once your DD has gotten underway with the application...

NROTC opens yesterday for HS Juniors, need help with question!

I would wait to submit the final transcript until her junior year is over. Get everything else done in the meantime if you want to be quick with submitting the whole application. She will have to contact the closest NROTC unit around you to set up an interview. Nobody will call you to set up...

    NROTC vs. NROTC marine option

Hello, I have a few questions regarding both the Navy and Marine options for NROTC. First of all, which is more competetive to get into? I know less people apply for the Marine option and that they're more focused on physical fitness than Navy option is. This being said, I have a 3.4 high school...

    NROTC interview

I have my NROTC interview in a few days. When I called the NROTC office to schedule the interview, the man I talked to really didn't give me much information on it. Is there anything I am required to bring with me? How should I dress? Do my parents need to come? Just trying to get everything...

    NROTC fitness test question

Are there any averages or passing scores posted anywhere for the NROTC fitness test? I want to know if my scores are sufficient enough. I got 64 push-ups, 80 sit-ups, and 6:24 mile. Would it be worth redoing it to get better scores if I already have passing numbers? Thanks!

Do you have a source for this information? I don't mean to question you, just wanting to know if this is credible since you said "From what I have heard"

    NROTC major

Thank you for the info. One additional question: If I don't get chosen for any of the scholarships available, am I still able to enroll in NROTC, just without having my schooling paid for? If not, I can just apply for a scholarship again my sophomore year, correct?

    NROTC major

I've been reading up on NROTC a lot more lately and I've come to realize that the major you pick has a large bearing on whether you get the scholarship or not. They say tier 1 and tier 2 majors are the best I pick. Would biochemistry, a tier 2 major, be good to pick to give me the best chance of...

What are my chances of getting in to West Point?

I'm a junior at a college preparatory private high school and I'm very interested in going to West Point. I'm Colombian (I don't know if that makes a difference) so I'm racially diverse. I'm in all average classes, not the worst and not the best. I'm going to try to take at least one AP class...
