Just noticed this recently, but are there no longer command interest items included on the new OML Model? These included writing, speaking, and community awards. Would be super bummed if this was the case, have been working on getting an article published for OML points.
With aviation being so competitive, even with ADSO (which I plan on submitting), has anyone received a mediocre OML score and as a result decided to find an NG/AR AV unit as to not risk getting forced branch something other than aviation? If so, how did it work out for you? Do you regret not...

Thanks for your response. I've been spending this entire summer preparing for the SIFT and I'm feeling pretty confident, still need to schedule an actual date with my PMS to take it however. I was not aware a score of 50 was required to take the physical at camp, thanks for the heads up. So...
Yes that is correct, I am a rising MSIII in AROTC. Thanks very much for your response, that answered my question completely. So it looks like now it is just a matter of making sure I get to my follow-ups, checking to make sure I meet all the medical requirements and completing and bringing in...
Thanks very much for your response. Especially the part covering the OML system. That's very encouraging as I had no clue it was set up like that. I will definitely be ADSOing Aviation #1 and then MS #2 with intentions of dropping a 67J packet. I've purchased a SIFT study guide book in addition...
Thanks very much for the info. That makes a lot of sense. Unfortunately I have learned that letters of rec hold no weight when it comes to active duty. I appreciate your response nonetheless.
I was wondering what paperwork I need to have my doctor fill out in addition to the DD 2870 form (Release of Medical Information) now that I have undergone LASIK surgery.
I apologize if this has been asked previously, I can't find any specific answers on either here or reddit and Fort Rucker...
Basically I am wondering if letters of recommendation from current or former army aviators on my behalf would hold any weight on my OML score. I know they likely do not have any official effect on the branching formula for AD but I wanted to ask as I've heard they have a big impact for those...
Sir,
I have decided to transfer my AROTC scholarship to another school and have been in contact with the ROO's from both batallions(the one I accepted the scholarship from and the one I am planning to transfer to). However, I am confused on whether to send my request to transfer to the according...
I apologize for the long read, I feel I should explain the situation before jumping in.
So my problem/question is basically summed up in the title. I accepted an AROTC scholarship from my top choice school's battalion before their decision letters were released. Unfortunately I was not accepted...
I was in the exact same situation as you a couple months ago. Basically after boarding, those schools are set and can't be moved. Depending on what you get awarded you will be offered a scholarship to one of those schools on top of your priority list. Now from there pretty much your only option...
Has anyone heard of this? It seems to be a pretty good additional scholarship that is not as well known as the ROTC program's. If anyone has been offered/involved with this scholarship please let me know as I'd be interested in asking some additional questions. I might go to UT Austin next year...
Hello clarksonarmy,
I have recently received and read through my official AROTC scholarship letter from Cadet Command and was hoping that you might be able to answer an additional question I have. When it comes to my medical examination by DoDMERB, will this also include the Physical Fitness...
Hey thanks very much, I appreciate it. And yes that would be ideal but as their application deadline is December 1st I think the most contact I'll be able to have with my admissions counselor at this point will be by phone and email (I'm located in Tennessee). However, I will definitely be using...
Nothing has changed on the website for me but I did get a call from my local recruiter giving me some info on my status. Online I am still 'boarded' however.
