    "Highly Recommended Boots"

Can everyone who has been appointed comment their opinion on this? In the appointee kit it says it's highly recommended to buy boots but everyone from USAFA I've talked to (cadets from Summer Seminar) warned me to not bring them. I'm just confused because I interpret the paperwork as being...

I was in a boot for the month leading up to my deadline and I called my admissions counselor the day of the deadline, Nov 31, to ask for an extension and he gave me a month extra no problem. I waited till the last day to see if I could manage and I couldn't and explained that to him and they had...

    When to contact ALO officer

honestly the best advice I can give you is your ALO can be your best friend, or your worst enemy. I met mine December of junior year, we had a conference in my counseling area at school. he asked for monthly updates, and when time came for SS, he was more than willing to help. if you put forth...

I thought I might be reading it wrong, but I didn't think USAFA had grown each class so much within 4 years. Thanks though, it was really concerning the way I read it, haha.

my moms friends DS found out the other day they have what's called a CMN, a congenital mole Nevus. it's basically a pretty large birthmark that has a higher than normal risk of turning into melanoma at some point in your lifetime. ACT & SAT practice scores being reported on HS Transcript

I wouldn't worry about it, I had a 590, a 630, and a 650 on my SAT's; they were terrible. I did a lot better on the ACT with a 31, but all my scores including the bad SAT's are listed and I still got a LOA. so apparently they didn't care about my low scores
