Our Plebe to be son had his removed on a Friday & went back to school on Monday. Wisdom teeth were not bothering him yet but I wanted him to have the surgery with a good oral surgeon under my care & supervision. With so much work & activities at USNA, I didn’t want him to get surgery there.

My MIDN son has friends who are avid hunters and I have seen few of his friends post pics with guns, some are in the rifle & pistol club. Maybe your pic was inappropriate or very concerning? Whatever the case, you may need a good attorney to get your records cleared.

@militarymomcpg No need to give up any scholarship or decline schools this early. You have until now-May 1 to a make final decision, why rush.

Just curious, but if you didn’t need any surgery or prescription meds? Is it necessary to tell Dodmerb? Especially, if it will heal before I-day.

@Julia Lee Our MOC Office was vacant too and the newly elected congress woman nominated my son late Dec. About 3 weeks later, son received appointment. He had No LOA. Wishing you good news soon.

Hello, I would not worry to much. If your son has a nomination and is qualified scholastically, medically, & physically then he has a very high chance of getting in. If The Navy wants him, they will find him a slate;)

@wanderingwhales DS had no LOA and was not Principal nom. He just had 1 MOC regular nom. If that answers your ?

I would keep Eagles Scout, student body prez, national honor society member, and varsity sports.

Wow Guam is far, but don’t be discouraged. Sons didn’t get invited to CVW, no LOA, but both got in Jan. after congressional nom.

It is stressful times and having a LOA is positive. Also, you don’t need any political connections to recieve a nom. Wishing your son the best:)

Yes! Never give up! My son had a friend who received full scholarship to a top boarding high school. She was ranked #3 in her class. Oct of her senior year she stupidly violates the school’s honor code, therefore can’t apply to ivies. Depressed to see her classmates get into ivies, she drinks...

I am confused? You can change your rotc scholarship to a different college. I’m thinking competitive colleges will not accept applications after the deadline. However, the rotc college recruiter can speak to admissions or you can ask?

@marinemom2023 yes PA is very competitive, but I’ve heard if you are 3Q with nom than you have 50% chance of appointment. That is what I read on this forum somewhere.

DS is 5 10 & 198lbs and if his big lazy butt passed Plebe summer than you should be okay. He said as long as you ain’t last:)

3 yrs ago DS received appointment a week after nomination mid January. DS2 is still waiting & he revieced nom much earlier. Can it be due to PA redistricting? Anyone else redistricting & still waiting?

AA means the college is “Acknowledging Adversary.” Positive way of interpreting AA.
