    Military IDs

I am starting AFROTC this fall and will most likely be contacting. I am just curious, do contracted AFROTC cadets receive a military ID card? If so, what type? I have tried do find the answer online, but cannot find any straight up facts. Thank you!

    USAF Thunderbird crashes

Wow. So sad. Incredible sacrifice, and amazing that no civilians were killed.

Twelve year old wants to go to the USAFA

It really does depend on the squadron. Keep in mind there are a lot of activities outside CAP, and activities in CAP that are outside the squadron level. Personally, I have had an amazing time in CAP, and will continue as long as I can.

USAFA Class of 2020 Appointment Thread

Awesome stuff! I bet we've got some excited kids! (well, I guess I can't say kids since they're my age :) )

    Ask Us (current cadets) Anything

No problem! Let me know if you have any more homeschool questions! (I also can help with AFROTC. Possibly more qualified to help with AFROTC than USAFA...)

    Ask Us (current cadets) Anything

Put all of that stuff in your transcript. I was just giving you some ideas for the format.

Female in college. Would love to encourage some other female to stick it out! My letters may be more sporadic because of trips (not every day like I've done for other family in Basic). I too tried to get into USAFA but was not accepted. I will still serve as an officer (here I come AFROTC)...

    Ask Us (current cadets) Anything

Transcripts are required. Just find a template (http://www.hslda.org/highschool/academics.asp#transcripts), and you may have to guess or be a little creative about the names for your classes. Google will be your friend. Also, see if you can get some community college classes. Something so that...

    Good plan?

Whatever you do, don't try a language with a Latin alphabet :) La Fuerza Aérea no necesita las lenguas que usan la alfabeto Latín. Perdon mi gramática es mal a veces. (the Air Force doesn't need languages that use the Latin Alphabet. Pardon, my grammar is bad sometimes). I promise I didn't use...

    Good plan?

The lyrics of "Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy)" contain the famous Lennon quote "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." Stolen from Wikipedia

ROTC Scholarships Available with College Credit

For AFROTC I am doubling up on AF classes and doing Field Training my first summer (2017 after starting fall 2016). They said I have to do it for at least 3 yrs. I know of people who are either doing part of a masters or a double major to stay at school for three years even though they graduated...

ROTC Scholarships Available with College Credit

I received an AFROTC scholarship. I have 90 college credits through a dual enrollment program. These kids still count as high school students, but they will need to do a little extra paperwork in order to graduate in three years after HS. If they have two years of college credits, then they will...

Controversy of Cadet Group Photo -- Reactions from West Pointers?

I kind of thought that the economic crisis was an important factor. Also, not just slavery, but the power the federal government had over the states rights (in this case, the states were wrong. But it was an important part of the political culture). Eli Whitney and the cotton gin also increased...

    What's your favorite?

Maybe that person was overqualified to be a canidate and should've become a candidate... IF they really were that good as a canidate :)

    NAPS Females

Just curious, wouldn't it be easier to have it just long enough for a single french braid? (with a really short end that is above the collar. This is what I currently have as a non-cadet) Or would that be out of regulations even if it was symmetrical?
