Hi, I cannot remember the reply back date, but I believe it may have been April 15. I was offered way back in October, but have heard that was super early.
Getting into NASS and having a great class rank, grades, scores, leadership, etc. doesn't guarantee you'll get an appointment- I was rejected yesterday. Apply to all the academies you would consider. I received an appointment to Merchant Marine Academy, West Point and prep to USAFA. =)
Me too. I attend NASS, maxed out on 3 events, have tons of leadership, varsity sports, good SATs, grades, etc. Who knows. But I was offered an appointment to Merchant Marine, West Point and prep USAFA.
I can't login either. I remember last year the passwords changed once the new candidates received their passwords, but I think it's way too early for that. Maybe this is a good sign!
One thing I found out is they superscore, but NOT between the old and new versions of the SAT. In other words, if your best English score is with the old SAT and your best math is with the new, they will not combine those.
Once you get your scores, send them to the point of contact on your summer seminar confirmation email. Stay in close contact with that person, give them any updates, etc.
I received an email notifying me the offer was on my portal. Based on past years, this did not happen until much later, so something must have changed this year
I was told DO NOT get surgery on your own, it will disqualify you! The academy will do surgery on your eyes if you get into the academy to make you pilot qualified (that's what I was told) =)
Hi, I read that preppies can have their vehicles. Do a lot of you have cars or is it really necessary? Just wondering if I should bother with it since I'll have to get rid of it before entering the academy. Thanks!
