    NROTC 2/C Cruise

My unit sent a Navy option to Mountain Warfare last year, he never did CORTRAMID, so I know it must be possible

    NROTC 2/C Cruise

Is there anyway a rising Navy Option 2/C (Just finished sophomore year) can attend Mountain Warfare Training instead of the enlisted cruise? I know only a first class cruise is required for commission and most Mids in my unit who are college programmers and pick up end up going to CORTRAMID and...

    Ask a Plebe

Congrats on your admission. I am currently applying for the third time. Did you see any third time applicants in USNA 2020?

Any Third Time Applicants Out There?

I will be a third time applicant for USNA 2021. I remember my first BGO telling me of people applying three times before they got in and I thought for sure that wouldn't be me. Now I hope to become one of those people... funny how life turns out haha.

    Is this possible?

Thank you for the responses! My goal is to 1.) serve on a sub 2.) be an officer. For too many reasons to explain over computer, I will always regret not completing my goal of serving on a sub. Fortunately, these goals are NOT mutually exclusive (why Im in NROTC now anyways). If November of...

    Is this possible?

Say a mid's end goal is to become a sub officer; however, he/she was selected for SWO. Could this mid turn down/ leave the NROTC unit before commissioning and enlist?

    Reapplicant SAT/ACT vs College Performance

I'm trying my best; however, I am a 3.0 engineering/NROTC student. I'm gonna keep trying for better grades/leadership, but if USNA is only taking kids with all A's with a few high B's looks like I'm commission through NROTC haha. Thanks for the advice!

    Reapplicant SAT/ACT vs College Performance

Does USNA care more about SAT/ACT or college performance for three time applicants?

    Predicament

My University does not allow its students to retake courses unless they failed the course entirely. So looks like I am going to keep on trucking forward. Hope the admissions board knows I am not neglecting their advice about retaking classes. I guess I'll mention this to my BGO next year?

    Predicament

For any of the BGO's out there do you know of the success rate for third time applicants? I have a good amount of leadership roles to add through NROTC (billets and NROTC clubs) and summer employment along with intramural sport participation to add to my app this time. Plus I am retaking the...

    Predicament

It requires a waiver to retake a past class... no guarantee there. My goal is a career of military service (I know I am too young to make that call but serving in the military is the only thing I want to do). If I was told ROTC or USNA would never work out I would enlist in a fraction of a...

    Predicament

I've gotten a C+ and some B/B-'s. I'm in NROTC; however, my dream is to attend USNA and I will continue to apply until I either get in or am no longer allowed to apply anymore.

    Predicament

I will be a three time applicant for USNA now. Now that I will be entering my Sophomore year of college I have reached some crossroads. I can either A) retake my core classes (Calc 1,2,3, Diffy Q, Physics 1 and 2, Chemistry etc) in hopes of reaching higher grades or B) advance towards my upper...

    NROTC to USMA

Can an NROTC Midshipman apply and (potentially) accept an appointment to USMA if he/she has a NROTC scholarship or are they limited to only applying for the Naval Academy?
