I'm a rising freshmen who's interested in army ROTC (as some of you may know from previous posts). Anyways, I've recently been inflicted wit shin splints. Ugh. So my backstory is this: 18, female, didn't do any school athletics in high school (horseback riding only) and I didn't really begin...
Hi everyone.
So with the new OPAT, does this mean that if you don't score well enough (whatever the standard is), you cannot branch combat whatsoever?
Thanks!
This might be a not-so-good question, but I'm confused so I'll ask anyways. So everyone talks about hoping to get a commission at the end of ROTC, so does that mean it is not guaranteed? Or do they mean that they hope to get a commission for active duty, but the people who don't get active duty...
Thanks so much for the info. I'm going to be working really hard this summer to make sure that I don't only pass the apft, but that I do as well as I can!
No, I'm not a scholarship recipient. Thanks for the info about the apft, I wasn't sure when it would be administered for the first time. I'm pretty sure we don't move in earlier, I haven't come across anything about that so far. Thanks for the information!

Thank you for the information. However I tried to make it clear that I am not doing ROTC for the scholarship, and I would do it regardless if I got a scholarship or not. And I am going to put in all of the effort regardless as well. I simply wanted to know tips for getting one because the...
I didn't apply for the army ROTC scholarships before the deadline, so would really love to get one next year when I start college. However, I want to make it clear that it is my dream to be a soldier so regardless if I get one or not, I am still doing ROTC. Anyways, here are my stats: incoming...
Hi everyone. I'm currently a senior committed to a small private liberal arts college with an army ROTC program on campus. I'm not really sure what I want to study, but as of now my top branches are : Intelligence, Medical Service Corps, Signal Corps, Adjunct General, and maybe Military Police...
