I am looking on the calendar and am little confused. When is the “Parents Weekend” or event we see our kids take thier oath and pin thier boards on? I thought it was over Labor Day weekend but it is not very clear. Thanks

Thank you. He went and got the check done. The opthamologist did not see any reason he should be rejected. To add icing on the cake he received nominations to both USNA and USMMA.

We got word from DodMerb that they want to do some more checks on his eyes. My son says they want to map his cornea. My friend who was a Flight Surgeon says not to worry that they want to see if he had surgery. (He hasen't). Anyone else dealt with this?

I just wanted to verify that the report day and Indoc for Swab Summer is July 2 for the class of 2022. Called the Academy and they said June 26.

My CP has put in his application for early admission. He already has his DOdMerb completed due to applying to another Academy. He had been to 2 Bear's Day visits. I though he would have been invited to CFAD but have not heard anything. Could that be interpreted as not interested on CGA's part?

Thanks. I read that too. Does that mean that anything beyond those limits can be wavier by the Academy or are those absolutes that will keep a candidate out?

My son wants to fly for the military. He has vision that is correctable to 20/20. The Navy said they would treat him with PRK surgery if accepted. Does anyone know if the Coast Guard does this for thier students seeking Flight Training?

My son is a competitive candidate but received news today from DoDMerb that he is unqualified due to a vision astigmatism over 3 diopters. His vision is correctable to20/20. Is it generally routine to get a waiver for this?

My son is a very competitive candidate but found out his vision though correctable to 20/20 is out of the stigmatizm limits of 3 diopters. For that he needs a waiver. The absolute limit is 8. Is it common for USMMA to give waivers for correctable vision?
