Anyone have advice on base preference for UPT? I am leaning towards Vance but I haven't heard much about Columbus or Laughlin.

Waiver for Eye Position Beyond Normal Limits?

I'm not sure the process for getting the waiver but tell him not to be discouraged almost anything is waiverable. I had a buddy get told at his physical that he a had a spot on his eye that would cause leakage during G's and there was no way he would be able to fly. He got a waiver and was...

NROTC vs. AFROTC for Pilot Spot

Keep in mind that although the Marines may give you the best likelihood of getting a slot, you will be trained as leader in combat first and then go to pilot training if you prove yourself up to that point(all of this can be found online). It seems to me there are more steps involved to actually...

    AROTC vs AFROTC

Congratulations on your scholarships. I'm a 3rd year AFROTC cadet so I've got biased opinion of course but if you want to be a pilot, as you said, this is the route to go. If your dream is to fly, and you are willing to work for it, there is no reason you cant attain it in AFROTC (as long you...

    2017 AFROTC Rated Selection Thread

Ive got some insight from the lower end of the spectrum haha. My original PCSM score was a 31 from a 69 afoqt prior to any flight hours and would have gone all the way up to a 75 if I had the 200+ flight hours you have. With that many hours Im sure you could bomb the TBAS and still be competitive.

    2017 AFROTC Rated Selection Thread

A buddy of mine who just completed UPT (dropped 135's) told me that the adjustment to military flying was difficult and that he wished that he would have went to IFT. Would you agree with this? I am currently working towards my PPL but I planned to go to IFT anyways.

    2017 AFROTC Rated Selection Thread

JoeKenny has some pretty helpful information in some of his past posts! Look him up and follow some of his threads for good insight. I know they are supposed to have more slots this year compared to years past. Other than that just wishing for the best. I've got a strong feeling I'm going RPA...

    Rated Date

Thats correct. Data can be entered into WINGS up until 20 Jan but flight hours received after 6 Jan don't count towards PCSM scores.

    Low PCSM

I would be willing to go ABM if I got selected, it just wouldn't be my preffered rated slot. I just think i'd be happier doing that any other non rated AFSC if I didn't get pilot. I like RPA because I feel like I'd be doing a lot to directly support the mission and I'd be happy with that. So of...

    AFROTC-AFOQT Scores

As far as I know the AFOQT score is given based off of a percentile meaning the next time you take it your score will be compared will all others who took it within whatever number of cadets they pool you with, meaning theoretically your 14 could be a 16 if you got the same marks in a different...

    Low PCSM

Yes, ABM score is 64. Although I'm not all that interested in ABM, I'd hate to not get picked up at all and wonder what if?

    Low PCSM

Im going for pilot in the upcoming spring 2017 board. GPA: 3.4 (Non-Tech) PFA: 94 PCSM:53 FT:Middle 1/3 RSS: Top 1/3 Im wondering if anyone has some insight on how competitive these scores will be considering my GPA is in a non-tech major and the fact that I don't have a rated EA. Im planning...
