    Depends on who you are, what you want to be, which branch you want to join, etc... It's too broad of a question and don't choose one over the other just because it's easier. That's the wrong idea all together. This is about training to lead Marines and Sailors.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but I've been reading this forum for a couple years now, just under different user names, and I don't ever remember a time when the baseline questions were, "I smoked this once, what next?" Or even the one "Chance me?". I would think that after a few of those threads...

    I know a GySgt who is doing this exact thing right now at an ROTC unit. So, it's very possible.

    Great Work! The two biggest things that will give you a leg up is to study up on basic Marine Corps knowledge such as rank/general orders and workout till you get exhausted, then workout some more.

    Denying a Scholarship

    From a personal standpoint, receiving the MO Scholarship is a huge accomplishment in one's life as there are very few given out yearly. However, if you have no desire to become a Marine then there is no reason to accept it. Never do anything half-hearted.

    Embry-Riddle NROTC

    Some of those candidates might have been college programmers too. I know that they only accept 25 total scholarships, however there is not a set limit to the amount of programmers accepted.
