    ACFT

It will be a modified version of the ACFT, to include hand release pushups, leg tucks, and the 2 mile run in the beginning of Beast. At the end of Beast we’ll take the full version. Check the West Point website and email for more details.

    I-Day 2020

@THParent I’m sorry if this is a bit nit picky but the situation you outlined is more common than you might think. This is not exclusive to twins: single parents often have to choose between attending either child’s function, or in some cases missing both to go to work as the sole provider. I...

    Stats From Accepted Cadets

I would have to agree with @MidCakePa here. This really won’t do any good for candidates, at least it won’t do better than the posted stats on the West Point website. You should be shooting for those goals and higher to make yourself as competitive as possible. Quite frankly, there are waaaay...

If we already accepted when the appointments were released during the glitch, should we accept again? Would this cause more havoc in the system?

    NASS acceptance updates

So I’ve been seeing some posts about having to choose between CVW and NASS if your CVW is scheduled for March/April. When did your Navy experiences occur? Also, you’re very lucky to have gotten invited to both, I’m hoping the same happens for me (fingers crossed).

Would I have to ask in advance or just ask around while I’m there?

    Emailing Coaches!

Hi all! A couple days ago I posted about receiving a CVW invitation and after reading some similar threads I noticed that some candidates had the opportunity to stay with a plebe who plays their sports and/or meet with a coach. I wrestle, but as of current the Naval Academy doesn’t have a...

    Candidate Visit Weekend Spring 2019

Hey! Prospective Candidate here! Just wondering if anybody else was invited to the March and April CVWs. I received an invitation and got a confirmation the next day. I’m very excited to see what the Academy is like!

    Other Sports?

Hello, I'm currently a sophomore in high school and as of right now the only sport I do is wrestling. I'm on the JV team and I plan to wrestle on the varsity team next year. Are there any sports that I could pick up within the next year or two that would boost my application and prepare me for...

    Admission Tours Questions

Hey! I went on the tour and attended an admissions briefing last week. The admissions session was very informative for my parent, who had known practically nothing about the academy beforehand, and it essentially strengthened my desire to want to attend the academy. The tour was led by a...

    GT vs Honors vs AP

Next year I plan to take AP chem and AP world history. The only AP class offered to freshmen is AP bio, but I missed out on that opportunity because of grades I received in my last year of middle school. By my junior year, most if not all of my classes will be AP. Thank you for the advice jagger19.
