    USAFA Class of 2021 Appointments

I know of one recruited athlete in NV (northern) who accepted an appointment to USAFA but I'm not sure of the nomination source.

    Tell me about Southwest...

Yes, it likely will be significantly higher. If you booked a wanna get away fare for say $100 and then tried to change it a couple days before the flight, SW will likely not have any more wanna get away fares and you'd have to pay the regular fare, which could be $300+ if the flight is close to...

    USAFA Class of 2021 Appointments

As RickD_USAF stated, you're not out, and, based on the stats for the class of 2020, your SAT scores alone would not seem to be a disqualifying issue. According to the stats, your math score is in the mid-50% (and above the mean). So, if the class had 1168 admitted, 584 of those appointees had...

    Candidate Fitness Assessment (CFA)

I wouldn't use a rubber band or assistance machine for the pull-ups. You can already do several unassisted and as you get more lean, they'll get easier. You could work on your grip by hanging for as long as you can with your shoulders engaged and work on pulling your shoulders down rather than...

    Candidate Fitness Assessment (CFA)

Try sprinting the straights and walk/jog the curves on the track or sprint for 2 minutes on the treadmill, then jog for a minute, sprint again, etc. Eventually, you will be able to maintain a faster speed over the mile. If you just keep practicing running the mile without intermittent speed...

    No ice... not nice.

This from the woman who called another poster a "Clintonite" as a feeble attempt at to insult another poster who may or may not have supported Secretary Clinton. She was Secretary of State, you know, and it's disrespectful to turn her name into a what you supposed was a durogatory adjective. At...

    No ice... not nice.

How is saying Trump signed an EO imposing a hiring freeze a dig? He did do that, and she didn't even criticize it. She merely recognized that the freeze has had consequences.

Do you know who nominated the one from CD-2?

    USAFA Class of 2021 Appointments

Spring break starts today and lasts until 3/31, which may mean admissions staff is off too. I don't know if that is how it works, but if so, there probably won't be many (or maybe any) updates until at least 4/3, which is the Monday after spring break.

    USAFA Class of 2021 Appointments

Yes, many candidates from California have received appointments. There is a thread: USAFA Class of 2021 Appointments that lists at least 10 California appointees. Plus, there are many more who do not post their appointments to this forum for different reasons (anonymity, unaware of this forum...

    ACT/SAT Scores and Grades

Try taking both the SAT and ACT again. You could take the SAT again in May, June, August, October, November, and even December, and those test scores will be released before the deadline for completing your application (usually last day of January, unless you have an early application...

    USMA 2021 Appointment Thread

I know of two usma appts from nv-2. One had a senatorial nomination and I don't know who nominated the other one.

Starting USAFA app- only one PSAT score...and it's low.

Pre candidate questionairre. I agree dcollard98--wait for June scores or until he gets a score he feels good about. There is plenty of time to apply. Sometimes people do better on the SAT than the PSAT too, so I'd take the SAT again too.

How long will the academy offer admissions?

Did your USAFA counselor or your liaison officer tell you this? Seems as though your counselor would know before you would know, but your ALO would not. Just wondering.

    No test scores

You could take the SAT again in May, June, August, October, November, and even December, and those test scores will be released before the deadline for completing your application (usually last day of January, unless you have an early application deadline). Regardless, you could have College...
