Some did not even report that day, so their plans have changed. Some were medical turn backs, and a few dropped during the day.

DS rec’d a waiver his first go around applying from AF but was denied by the others. His second year applying he only wanted one academy and USMA granted him a waiver this time. He is currently a Plebe! Follow your dreams!

Our DS reapplied to WP after medical DQ last year ( shoulder surgery) and is reporting to R-day on Monday. He went to Plan B school, did ROTC, reapplied and got waiver this time. If DS/DD is passionate about it still in the fall, tell them to reapply & follow their Dreams!

I thought spirit passes were only for Army/Navy events other that football? For example: soccer, basketball etc. So can DS maybe try for spirit passes at an event/school where his best friend goes ( with TAC approval)?

DS was recently asked WP about the iPad. They said it is not needed for any classes. Only a laptop would be issued. Many cadets have them but more for entertainment ( Netflix). I believe you need to let their IT at it to put it on the network to get WiFi.

Ok, maybe a silly question...so bear with me;). DS is a college re-applicant, so does he take these tests during Beast? After the results, if he tests well does he get a choice about validating, taking adv class or staying in reg section? Or does USMA put him automatically based on test results?

I actually called bc DS doesn't wear glasses so I didn't know if we needed a Dr to sign off saying no, but the tech on the phone said don't worry about it and she'd check it off as green on her end. I wish the rest were that easy! I uploaded DS soc sec card and birth certificate the other day...
