For those veteran parents, what time on Friday can families begin touring campus with their cadet? We have flight options to DEN for either Thursday night or one that arrives Friday morning at 7AM, so I'm trying to determine if we'd miss any time by showing up Friday morning. Thanks.

WOW. That can't be easy to decide, but thankfully there is no wrong answer to either choice made. What a wonderful situation to be in......other than having to make the decision of which road to take. Your DS earned it, here's to praying he finds clarity in making his choice.

My DS earned a direct entry appointment, and we've been looking at this for 4 years, but I can honestly say I still have no idea exactly what all they look at and how. He is also ranked top 15%, which is below the most recent averages for appointments, but the Academy took into consideration...

Did anyone attend the 3/21 tour that can comment on the day? DS attended sports camp after Soph year and SS after Jr year. So he's familiar with many things, but would not want to miss this too if it gives him a better feel for things to come.

Only a relieved parent, so I don't truly know, but if it helps my DS appointment was dated 3/7/17 but just received the portal update today. No calls from MOC. In other threads there is an Insider who stated they always give MOC's the opportunity to call even if they don't do so before...

For all those still waiting, keep faith and keep praying for the correct path to be laid out before you. We felt relief today with the portal update to appointee, but considering the emotions we went through holding on to today, our heart feels for those still in that boat. God speed to all!

Congratulations! My DS is also from Yarmuth district. He was at SS last year and attended the KY Falcon Families dinner with the class of 2020 appointees. I'm sure we will meet each other at this years dinner.

Inquiry with the back-filling of congressional vacancies, we know a young man who left the academy last year, which possibly opens an additional spot toward the 5 our MOC can have, is appointing another nominee from that MOC slate what you mean by back-filing vacancies? Also, what we don't know...

Safe to assume if you don't hear good news by 3/24/17 you better start focusing on plan B?
