    Falcon Scholar and Prep School

Gotcha. Has anyone heard anything for the Prep School, specifically the one attached to the academy?

    Falcon Scholar and Prep School

Once you receive the TWE, is the offer for a Falcon Scholarship or the Prep School “attached” to the TWE? Or do you have to wait another period of time to see if you’re accepted into one of the two mentioned above.

    AirForce Academy (PC or Mac)

You can go ahead and bring it. I have a personal computer that I use for most of my school work and when I need to send emails or do anything official, I use the issued laptop.

    Answering questions for C/O 2022

The first time you will get to go home, without the circumstance of an eSSS is Thanksgiving break. But then 2 weeks later, you get to go back home for 3 weeks for winter break.

    Answering questions for C/O 2022

Also for the posts afraid of dehydration. Do not even have the slightest of worries. The cadre make sure you are hydrating well and when I say well I mean WELL It's always a huge emphasis and I was the most hydrated ever in my life during basic and recognition. Almost to the point I was...

    Answering questions for C/O 2022

I''m assuming you're talking about Colorado. Also, for the first couple days of basic, the cadre were not allowed to use any sort of physical remediation. It is time allotted for the basics to try and acclimate at least slightly before beginning to PT. There were quite the few that passed out...

    Falcon foundation scholarship 2018

I self prepped at NWP. Was it a big gamble? Yes. But in your case, you’re holding the golden ticket. I still wish I had been a Falcon even as I’m here at USAFA. Events such as Corona is only for Falcons and I wasn’t able to attend. Second semester I just went to college and worked on the side...

    Answering questions for C/O 2022

If you really do want stuff to memorize, I would memorize the 7 basic responses, airmen’s creed, and core values. There’s some quotes I could tell you but I think its more fun struggling trying to learn those during basic

    Answering questions for C/O 2022

Honestly it might help you at the footprints or a bit here and there. But reality is, it’s not going to matter. They’re going to find a reason to beat you (PT). No matter how well you do anything during basic, you’re always wrong. Just don’t let it get personal. Once you start letting it get to...

    Answering questions for C/O 2022

I’m not gonna lie, doolie year was rough. I didn’t know much about it and thought basically it would be all over after basic. Boy that was a rude awakening. You have to learn to manage your time because a lot of times it seemed I never had time to myself and those weekends I did, we would be...

    Answering questions for C/O 2022

Honestly, if it was like for me, I know they're going to tell you to bring a pair of boots. But I would not spend the time or effort in buying one. They will just issue you two pairs if you don't bring one on I day. They'll give you one then and then, if I remember correctly, another one down...

    Answering questions for C/O 2022

Hello parents/appointees/hopefuls/TWEs/etc I haven't visited this page in more than a few months or so but I know its that time of the year again. Appointments are being sent out and for those who are accepting it or even those who haven't gotten one yet, I know you have many questions in your...

    A former Falcon Scholarship recipient

I’m a 4 degree who applied class of 2020 denied, self preped and now in 2021 (no doubt no fear). I have a friend who self prepped with me who denied a falcon scholarship and then self prepped and then came here with me. Then again, he just denied the scholarship. He didn’t go and then quit...

    Reapplying, Northwestern Prep, Self-Prep

Since flightoverfight gave a statistic, I would like to share our statistic at NWP this year. We had about ~45 free agents this year at NWP. Out of the 45 students, at least 40 had AF as their first pick. Out of the 45 free agents, from what I know for sure, 8 received appointments for AF. 1 for...

    Reapplying, Northwestern Prep, Self-Prep

Well, as you know TWE's and such are coming out right now. I, myself, was a free agent. There were approx 35-40? free agents. Somewhere around there? Just because you go to NWP doesn't mean you get an appointment. As a Free agent, you really have to fight for your appointment so there will be...

    Re-applying to USAFA

I do not know this for sure but I can try to share with you some knowledge that I have. When I went to NWP all the students applied for nominations and their ALO from where their home address is. Since you are going out of state, your ALO and nomination source for your congressmen would still be...

Thank you! As for what kept you back, you can ask your ALO or admissions counselor as to why, specifically, you were not chosen over other candidates. I decided to email my admissions counselor, but they just told me "eh, there were people that were better". Was hoping I could get more details...
