    A maxed out CFA helps regardless of athletic background. But if you weren't able to add a sport, it's the only way you can prove to USNA you're ready for the physical demands of plebe summer, so it would help your application a lot if you could max it out.

    Is there anyway you could get involved with a sports team for your senior year of high school? 92% of the USNA class of 2020 played a Varsity sport. Your CFA will be even more important if you have a lacking sports background. Start preparing now to try and max out every event.

    I got a waiver in November-ish but I'm still CPR. From what I've read, getting a waiver means that USNA finds you competitive for an appointment. However, it doesn't guarantee that you'll get one.
