Brave..... that's an interesting perspective, I really enjoyed the R-day experience. A-day was great but not as impactful to me. I do agree going to the museum is a must do ! Our kid is an athlete so couldn't do NYC with her since she had practice.
My daughter had good grades, high SAT, clean DODMRB and was a recruited athlete and still had non committal letter all the way to the end, even after nomination and appointment. I'm not really sure what significance the letter has or if it gets updated.
Odds aren't in your favor, from what I hear WP has a 2% success rate in this regard.
Who knows though, you could be in the 2% ! This is decision for both of you to make.
I can completely understand and respect that perspective and would have taken it the same way except for the comment about "mandated recruiting goals" which rubbed me wrong way. I am sure there are female cadre that were pretty effective as well just as there were probably some guys who weren't...
Letter arrived today, sounds like west coast mail is starting to arrive. No phone call yet. She says very hard 1st week but doing well overall. Seemed to be in good frame of mind.
I live in TX so US Mail takes a week to arrive to WP.
Looks like this app may get it there in a day or two.
Costs more but for time sensitive communication might be a good resource.
I do t have the exact link handy but everybody seems to be loading pic's onto Flickr. Just search key words and July date and you will see a lot of pictures.
