I am not sure if I want to go to a service academy and hoping that the West Point SLE will provide the experiences that I need to decide. Getting it at least trimmed and looking neat is a great idea. If I stick with the non-buzz cut hair, is it OK to wear a buff?

I am attending SLE session this summer and I have "long" hair (below my ears but not hippy length). Do I need to cut my hair short for SLE ?
