OCS - Marine Corp Covid Fail - Still Quarantining

Oh, and to add to the complete quarantine “dysfunction”, the candidates were tested for Covid AFTER a they had roomed with a random candidate for over 36 hours. That makes NO sense at all. Just got off the phone with my MO roommate from college and he said “who is running OCS?” He was an...

OCS - Marine Corp Covid Fail - Still Quarantining

Son just showed up OCS on Saturday. They are still quarantining the class for 14 days, as they didn‘t require the vaccination. He is literally in BOQ room with a roommate and has not left the room since Saturday. He has had no hot food.......8 consecutive meals of boxed sandwiches. My son...

    NROTC CORTRAMID

I went to SD for CORTRAMID the summer of 90. They did it after sophomore year back then.....stupid. It was a great month.....they let underage kids drink at the O club, bowling alleys, and bars on base. They also had beers for us at the BOQ. I flew A6s out of Whidbey, subs out of Pt Loma...

    SAT/ACT Cancellations Causing Issues?

I own a Huntington Learning Center and do SAT/ACT prep. The key is to go to a state that is red, seriously. And then go to a PRIVATE school location, vs a public school. The private schools seem to be much more flexible in not cancelling tests. Probably a few less layers of red tape.

    What are my chances?

To be very blunt, I think you are presently lacking in all of the areas needed to gain a scholarship. No leadership, low scores, and no sports. I do not think that you can fix all of that in a year. Look at the stats of those that have gotten scholarships.

    SAT/ACT Frustration

I own an SAT/ACT prep center. What you need to do is travel to a state that is less restrictive. I live in MI and many of my students are going to to Toledo to take the exam. Yes its a pain, but i you want to be in front of as many boards as possible. Good luck.
