Canadian Bachelor Degree for Navy's OCS?

Thank you Tbpxece this is good to hear. I will wait for the recruiter to respond and hope all goes well :-) It's encouraging to hear that there are other US Citizens in the military that were admitted having received their education outside the US!

Canadian Bachelor Degree for Navy's OCS?

Just curious whether anyone here knows whether a foreign accredited degree (a Canadian Bachelor's degree) will suffice for an American Citizen applying to the Navy's OCS? Most sites for OCS requirements just say "a four year degree" is needed but I did see one for a specific officer job that...

    CGAS waitlist

Ironic that we were just discussing this on our thread here - an official email was just sent to my DS saying this: "The Director of Admissions has closed the wait list for our Scholar Program and unfortunately we will not be able to tender you an appointment to the preparatory school program...

    CGAS waitlist

My DS still hasn't heard anything about coming off the CGAS waitlist, so Plan B looks like the number one plan at this time :thumb:

    CGAS waitlist

My son received this email an hour ago, subject heading, "CGAS Waitlist": Good morning! We are finally at a point where we can select students from the waitlist into the CGAS class. I am contacting the waitlist students to remind them of a few things to keep in mind in the following weeks: ·...

Here is another recent thread about this topic with some people saying they didn't have to renounce their second citizenship: https://www.serviceacademyforums.com/index.php?threads/dual-citizen-can-i-get-in.60342/

    Denied Again

You are amazing to have dedicated yourself to this so completely. I'm sorry that it didn't happen this year. :( I must say that I think you'll be very successful in your life due to your spirit of resolve and your hard work - even if there are disappointments along the way.

TWE with no waiver decision… Any hope to re-apply???

My understanding from reading these forums (not from personal experience) is that you can definitely apply again and if your DD is considered for appointment the medical waiver process will start up again. It's only halted for now due to the TWE - not forever.

    Rejection from USNA 2022

That is very encouraging and positive to hear! Thank you for this encouragement - I'll show your post to my DS too :)

    Rejection from USNA 2022

Sorry about the TWE. Your DS certainly set up excellent options for next year. His plan A.1 sounds like a fantastic door to have open!

    Rejection from USNA 2022

My DS received the TWE email just now. No offer of prep or any other programs, just no to all for USNA this year. Plan B will be excellent - a good university with a program he wants, and much closer to home (we live over 3000 miles away) so while sad for him, long term I am happy I will get to...

    Biting my Tongue While Waiting

Yep, same boat for my DS. I'm reading a book titled, "Embracing Uncertainty," about calmly facing the unknown. Good concepts about being at peace with not knowing what's going to happen...I'm not quite there yet
