DD who’s a Mid Sib just got the TWE. She had higher scores than 2 of her 3 siblings that attended USNA. Her resume was solid just like her siblings. So you see you just never know what makes or breaks you. She has essentially grown up at the Academy. She’s attended every thing from Nass, Stem...

I just don't get why people need to post certain things...

I’ve made many great friends on the parents fb pages through out the years. Most of the time it’s fun loving, but some are sad and some angry. Lots of great information as well. We all have a common bond and that’s USNA. I wouldn’t change it for the world! Love my Navy family...

    Current NAPSter, taking questions

You only pay for a few things like books, a brigade fund and uniforms. Some things may have changed but for the most part you do have some cost. The education is paid for. They will deduct from your pay check which is around 1000 a month.

    If you’re still CPR...

So see your GPA is your hook into NAPS. You do get liberty a lot more than at the Academy. Holidays and spring break I think you have time to go home. My daughters GPA was a little weak as well so she’s in your same boat. One of the benefits to NAPS is that you get a higher pay when you graduate...

    If you’re still CPR...

Not necessarily. My daughter was a cheerleader and rugby player she was not a recruited athlete. My son was a football player and was not recruited either. However, he did play football for Naps and went on to play sprint football for Navy. Naps is for kids who are borderline. Maybe needed a...

    NAPS Appointments?

I’m pretty sure it’s the same requirements and if it’s a waiverable condition that you can get one. I’ve had two kids go to Naps so if you need questions I can try to help!! Go Navy!! [emoji631]

It’s truly an unknown as to why some kids get in and others don’t. My oldest was very competitive and my middle two were slightly competitive grade wise but was high in athletics clubs, and JROTC. One key factor is demographics. Each state is represented, also diversity is a factory so it’s...

Two of my Midshipmen had the same SAT scores and they both went to Naps. My DD is still CPR as well and is pretty competitive for the most part. She has higher scores than my two Napsters did. Hang in there!! Sending good vibes your way!! [emoji631][emoji631][emoji631]
