Another Evacuation of 3rd Co. - CO Alarm

Seriously, Just got a call from my DS, entire company in the Gym (@12:45 am). Supposedly alarms went off; at least they had some this time. My DS was one that spent 5 hrs at hospital the last time. And to think, just a few short years ago, all he had to worry about was a lot of push-ups...

Should incoming class of 2016 be worried about KP's future ?

Kram1, Your point is well taken about most of the issues @ KP. The health & safety of the midshipman SHOULD be priority ONE! You forgot however to mention the lack of CO detectors within Barry Hall. Midshipman sleeping... flood, water wakes them up. Eat food @ Delano... severe stomach...

    CO Leak

DS sent a txt msg and I spoke with him later that they had to evacuate again because of a leak. CO tells mids not to worry... it will be fixed. Not convinced, DS goes down to Home Depot and drops $25 on a CO detector / alarm just to be safe. He was wondering why he had a migraine...

"Catered meal down by the water" To get the true feel of KP, all parents and applicants should get their meal @ Delano... ... on second thought, enrollment would drop drastically! :yikes:

Sea-year interrupted by broken hand, need some advice

MARAD Ship Fleet I didn't realize that MARAD owns a fleet of ships for what they call their "Ready Reserve Force" Wouldn't these ships be ideal for midshipmen to get additional sea time as the economy takes it toll on US flagship cargo and other ships making runs. List of MARAD ships...
