    Changing From AFROTC to NROTC

I am currently a scholaship cadet in AFROTC, I just did orientation, and I love it, but I just found out after working with my audiologist that I am not qualified to be an Air Force pilot with my hearing at one frequency in one year. My audiologist did find out with me that I am able to pass to...

How late is too late to transfer 4 year scholarship?

I received a 4-year scholarship to PSU, but I got into Notre Dame (unexpectedly), and since visiting recently, I really want to go there. Is it too late to move my scholarship, and how “competitive” is getting it at Notre Dame NROTC. Also if I don’t get the scholarship there, is there any chance...

Starting a Life After the Coast Guard

I am very excited to receive an appointment to the USCGA, but it is becoming a difficult decision for me to make. I wanted to serve in the Coast Guard since I was young, and will do so wholeheartedly. But another passion of mine is Space Exploration. I am the top of my class at high school, and...

Does AFROTC scholarship type depend on school selection.

I received a Type 7 scholarship, and my number 1 school choice was an in-state school. But after further review of that school, their program does not reflect what I want to study (I want to study Astronautical Engineering, not Aeronautical), and I am planning on Purdue or Georgia Tech. At...

Can you start a Type 7 AFROTC High School Scholarship at a transfer school?

I received a type 7 scholarship this week, but I was hoping to go to an out of state school, although on my application, my #1 pick used to be an in state school. My #1 pick was Penn State, but I received essentially full tuition there without the AFROTC. And the program is not what I wanted to...

Do Midshipmen ever pretend to be Seminar Students?

I was wondering if sometimes Midshipmen, for whatever reason, join in with the seminar kids. It may sound like a strange proposition, but I have a feel it is. Last summer when I went, one of my squad members was more verbally reserved, but I got along with him well. We talked about things we...

Do I put activities that the USNA does not list under remarks.

Most of what I do (Musical, outside of school Research, other Honors Societies, and such) is not listed on the generic activities list, I do not know if the remarks box is just reserved for remarks on the other actives, or if I can list all my other stuff there.
