It did not. Son got a separate letter in the mail yesterday that said welcome to CC if you accept offer of admission.

Also - previous year recipients said they “think it was email notification of ELS in late March”. Hope that helps.

If a candidate posts that they received a MOC and a direct appointment, does that mean that their MOC uses a slate where they designate a top candidate and if they are the top candidate, they receive an immediate appointment?

Kinda new here so forgive the question, but does the last response mean that for the USAFA , the nomination is one where the candidate won the slate or was top candidate; and the other nominations are competive?

Suggestion - Have candidate obtain a sealed / official / signed on flap or officially sealed copy from your counselor on Monday, send it 2 day priority mail to admissions with tracking number. Send a second copy to your regional counselor same way. Too much at stake not to cover all bases. This...

DS was notified yesterday of NROTC Scholarship for Virginia Tech - his first choice. Now has to wait to April for regular decision as EA is binding at VT.

So if a candidate does not get one of the spots his/her congressman has but did get a nomination, are they eligible for one of the spots in the last two categories listed above in the last reply?

So 10 candidates may be competing for 1 to 5 spots within their district? If that is accurate -it sounds like there may also be an opportunity for other "at-large"spots if not all states / districts around the country fill all their spots? Is that in the ballpark?
