I did ask the ROO at two colleges and both have said that there are no AROTC campus bases scholarships at this time and could be the same for next year also.

Forgot to mention, she has also in arotc since the beginning of her college freshman year.

Our DD is meeting with an army national guard recruiter in hopes to get a DEDNG scholarship for college. She is at the end of her freshman year of college. We are wondering if she would have to go to army basic training this summer? I can not seem to find the answer anywhere. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the all the information. This was our backup plan. Yes she needs the money for school. We have been told that the scholarship DEDNG may be more flexible to changing units after graduation if you move away to another state than the GRFD scholarship. Would anyone know if this is true ?

We don't mind the NG recruiter talking to her , she just wants to wait for a campus based scholarship if it might be coming.
