I am asking for my DS, as he doesn't have an account (yet). How much emphasis is put on religion/church/prayer at VMI? He will be an incoming Rat and it seems to be something that has come up more frequently than it has at any other school. Is it an important part of life there? Thoughts?

Got the news at 1:30 this morning. Rejected outright. Can't believe they waited so long when the LOA said application was up for review a month ago. Seems they could have let us know a while ago, as Plan B was put on hold because DS was eternally hopeful. Best of luck to everyone and I hope...

My DS's file took a full two months, to the day, from physical to 'qualified'. We sat and waited, as we are with USCGA until the status changed last week. It was about later in the afternoon, though--don't forget they are in Colorado and not on East Coast time.

DS's page still has not updated, but judging from last year's tally at this time (about eight pages back on the USCGA forum), it was all waitlist given at the end of EA. That said, it looked like one-quarter of EAs were eventually given appointments, so odds are better, I suppose. Best of luck...
