Yeah I did, I got into Norwich and my flagship state school. I chose USAFA for a lot of reasons but the main one is it's a great place to be from. Also, free college, almost guaranteed pilot slot, language and travel opportunities, networking and leadership opportunities as well.

Even after you get the TWE you can be appointed. A current cadet 4th class that I know was rejected in April and received a very exciting phone call from her MOC in May. It isn't over until the start of BCT.

SLCDA and Boys/Girls State are great programs to put on a service academy application.

It's easier to get a pilot slot from USAFA, but where you should go depends if you want the traditional college experience or not. Keep your grades up either way, they are extremely important.

If you get appointed into the Academy, they will give you any corrective eye treatment that you need when it is called for. Just DONT DO IT YOURSELF.
