If my DS does not get a scholarship after this board but takes ROTC classes at his college, can he still earn Officer after graduating or does he have to have had a scholarship?

So...plan B -- one of my son's colleges ROO (college A) has offered to create a "package" for him if he doesn't get the full ROTC scholarship, but, he is interested in college B also. If we wait to hear about ROTC 4year/3year, afraid we may miss any opportunity at college B -- maybe talking to...

Thanks for your reply. It was weird though, the Officer definitely said "Congratulations." I guess we will just have to wait and see if we get a letter or a change in status.

My son has the same status of "Pending Board/Under Consideration" but received a call from one of his schools (voicemail) from the ROTC officer saying "Congratulations, you were our first pick -- scholarships are coming your way." .... Do I trust this call? Has anyone else had such a call? In...
