It does. I assume it is for consistency. If you ever have to take a concussion test at USAFA they'll probably have wired mouses. Makes sense that they'd want your baseline to also be on wires mouses too.

I also mentally prepared myself for rejection so I wasn't setting myself up for disappointment. It may be too late to start this as she'll be hearing back soon, and the thought may stress her out more.

I finished my application in early October and was fortunate enough to get an appointment early this March. The whole time I was just telling myself that I had done everything I could do and tried to occupy my mind other ways. Every time my mind wandered to it, I just got stressed. Best of luck...

That's awesome! In the appointee packet, it says that the uppers of boots must be waterproof and the Nikes are not waterproof from what I've seen.. Yet, they still recommend the Nikes saying they meet all requirements, do you know why?

Yes, I was submitting them as I took them.

My sat was sub-par (620/660) but my ACT was (32/33.) I also had some very good extracurriculars, leadership roles, GPA, etc.

I am making this thread because I assume other appointees have the same question. Does USAFA mail out fancy appointment certificates/BFE (big fat envelopes)? I remember my buddy (who is a part of USMA '21) posting a picture with his, and I was curious if USAFA did something similar.

Hard to say :/. The academy says that the "majority" of appointments will be given out this month. My best guess is that most will be given within the next few weeks? But there is nothing supporting that

I think you're right. I got the good news from my Senator today! I was told that an official notification of appointment from the Academy would be sent out March 13th
